IGN recently released another preview of the ever so curious Wii Fit game. This exercising spin-off of Wii Sports takes a big lunge (har har) forward, making you actually have to stand up to participate in the game instead of bowling from your couch like you're use to with Wii Sports. Releasing in the states on May 19, Wii Fit seems to fulfill all the expectations it has accumulated over the past months. And rightly so, since Nintendo is expecting a lot from this title and has planned to ship over one million units of the game to American stores for release in mid May.
Matt Casamassina from IGN quotes, "It'll give you a work out. You will sweat. Your heart will move. And you might just wake up the sore the next day. I'm speaking from experience..." The game comes with what Nintendo calls the, "Wii Balance Board." which will obviously be used in the 40 mini-exercises the game has to offer. You'll stand on this platform and it will accurately measure shifts in your body weight. (or "BMI" Body Mass Index as Nintendo likes to label it) Wii Fit will have you doing diamond push-ups, crossing you legs, pivoting your entire body, and reaching to the sky all in one fluent (or not so fluent) exercise.
Ultimately, Wii Fit is going to do exactly what you want it to do, (or didn't think it was going to be able to do) give you a workouts. Matt From IGN, who visits his local gym regularly states, "I've been doing this for years and like to think I'm fairly well-versed in a solid exercise program. And yet, 20 minutes with Wii Fit kicked my ass, which surprised me." Done deal; we can't wait!
