This article labeled "Gods of Guitar Hero" was recently on Digg. Some people love Guitar Hero, some people hate it. We at Cats of Thondor like the series, as much as it gets criticized by some individuals. There are worse things that people can do with their time. The way I see it, some gamers find it fun to shoot people's heads off with guns while others like to feel like God in world domination games. Guitar Hero players just like to pretend they're rock stars for a little while. I see no wrong in that. And hell, many of them actually do play the real guitar.
But I digress, my main point is that some of the videos on the list, while being fairly good, aren't respectively considering the better players out there. Yeah yeah, I'm from the ScoreHero community so I suppose I'm a little biased on my argument, but surely if you search on YouTube, you'll find some other distinguished videos of skilled players who trump the ones on the list. The first video on their list is probably the most accurate of the five videos. Naturally, he is from ScoreHero, however he ranks extremely well on the leader boards, in the Top 10 among thousands of other players.
I'm not sure what the criteria was to get on the list. Age? How uh "cool" you look when you play? Still, I give them credit for putting together a list of decent players. However next time, you just have to research a little harder to find those unknown elites who tower over the rest.
